Attendees will receive hands-on methods of using social media to increase meeting attendance and add value and excitement to your meetings; learn ways meeting planners and suppliers can work together to provide a more well-run meeting using social media networks; and learn the "politics" of each social media network and how to use them to achieve your goals in your current position. You will leave this event with an exciting "to do" list that you can use the moment you return to the office.

After two decades in public relations, journalism and government, Paul Furiga founded WordWrite Communications, putting his award winning storytelling skills to work for companies with great untold stories. WordWrite has emerged as one of the fastest-growing PR firms in Pittsburgh. Since 2002, it clients have ranged from the Allegheny Conference to BASF, FPL Group, Koppers Inc., MEDRAD Inc. and Pfizer. Before forming WordWrite, Paul was a vice president at Ketchum public relations in Pittsburgh and editor of the Pittsburgh Business Times.

Paul is a 1980 graduate of Miami University, Oxford, Ohio, with a B.S. in Mass Communication. He is an Accredited Business Communicator, a designation earned from the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) and held by fewer than 10 percent of all communicators. Paul also serves on numerous boards, including the River City Brass, the board of ambassadors of the Rivers Club of Pittsburgh and the Storehouse for Teachers advisory board.
